About our feed

  • How the feed is produced

The food is produced by cold pressing, which allows us to guarantee its very high tolerance in dogs of all sizes and breeds. Cold pressing does not degrade natural substances. Vitamins, trace elements and minerals are thus preserved in their original natural form. The granules do not swell after moistening and therefore will not bloat your dog. It is always made fresh, we use no preservatives, no colourings and no attractants.

  • Meat meal

The meat comes from Swiss farms. It is therefore a meat with a significant protein content and good digestibility. After processing, it becomes a meat meal (dehydrated meat) that is more nutritionally concentrated than fresh raw meat alone.

That is why it is also the main component of Firstanimal.

  • Is this food gluten free?

That’s why we are abandoning barley, rye, spelt and wheat.

  • Why we use carob flour

It is a 100% natural product. This is obtained from the decoction of the fruits of the carob tree. It ensures a gradual supply of vitamin A and B, as well as the minerals calcium and iron. It acidifies the intestinal contents and thus increases the consistency of the excrement. It also serves as a prevention against diarrhea.

  • Why we use roasted flaxseeds

It is a 100% natural product with a very high content of Omega 3 fatty acids. These contain mucus to help the stomach and digestive walls protect themselves from harmful deposits. It also serves as protection against infections.

  • Importance of L-Carnitine

L-Carnitine has a key function in the metabolism of substances and is also of particular importance in the energy supply of the heart muscle. It increases the burning of fatty acids and reduces the breakdown of glycogen in the muscles. Its positive effects on blood flow and the immune system make it so wholesome.

  • Supports digestion

The digestion interval of dry dog food is given as between 2-8 hours in the stomach, 1-2 hours in the small intestine and 18-24 hours in the large intestine. Thanks to the processing of our food by cold pressing and coordinated formulas, the digestion process in the large intestine is deliberately accelerated and does not put unnecessary strain on the dog’s digestive tract.

  • How to switch to our feed

We recommend a complete switch to our food. In the first 2-4 days, it is extremely important to give smaller amounts than before. High nutritional values, vitamins and minerals would not be immediately digested/processed by the stomach in the usual quantities. Experience has shown that diarrhea could occur at the same doses your dog was given first.

According to experience, it takes 2-3 weeks to get fully accustomed – the transition. It depends on feeding habits, size and also on the breed of the dog.
